![]() ![]() ![]() Birds of prey impress Gunnison Community School students were wowed by a "birds of prey" lecture and demonstration last week in the Multi-purpose Building at the Fred Field Center. The educational program was put on by HawkQuest, a Colorado non-profit educational and environmental awareness organization. Some of the birds on display included a Peregrine Falcon, a Eurasian Eagle Owl, a free-flying hawk and, of course, this Bald Eagle (handled by Barb Walton). Posted 11/2006 |
